We were blessed with a beautiful sunrise at our breakfast table this morning. God was sending us another great workday – with highs getting up to the low 80s.
The team was eager to get the last couple of pieces of sheet rock done. Here’s the last piece going in…whoo hoo!
Just one more roto-zip…
Our job for the rest of the day was to get the house ready for the mudder tomorrow. The mudder plasters all the nail holes, corners and outlets and applies a texture to all the walls. It’s amazing how good he makes the sheet rock look when he’s done :-).
First on the list was to tape up and put plastic around the bathtubs.
Then put tape around the windows…
We spent the rest of the day cleaning out the house. The first step is to move everything out – including tools, ladders, supplies, etc. Then, the fun job of sweeping and vacuuming. By the end of the day, we had the house almost ready for the mudder. We just have to cover the windows with plastic in the morning when it’ll be much cooler inside the house.
While we were working inside, a small team worked on getting the siding started. We were all called outside to put a nail in the first piece of siding.
After work, we joined a enjoyed Taco-Tuesday at the local VFW with a fellow Care-A-Vanner. What a great way to end another productive and safe day. God is good!
